Taking Time For Coffee, Tea, Something To Eat
A few Saturdays ago, I had the opportunity to sit with a precious friend after we both attended Saturday church services. My friend is a single mother of some precious children. This particular weekend, I invited her to join me at the church I attend. Afterward she invited me to dinner.
We found a bakery near the church to eat at. I wasn’t hungry but had some lemonade-tea while she had soup. The conversations were just what we both needed. We share about God’s blessings, His encouragement, His grace and His strength that was always available when needed during our week. We also shared how God gives us peace in various situations with life and especially our children, showing us how to love them as He loves us.
We ended up staying there for a couple of hours. The lesson learned from our gathering and fellowship was there is always time to sit down for a cup of coffee, tea or grab something to eat with people. These are opportunities to share about the love of God, faith and trust in God, and life in general, in a relaxed and comfortable setting.
Side note: A little God time and friendship time is what all mothers need but can rarely find. Just maybe this post is speaking to you to ask the Holy Spirit to show you a mother that needs encouragement and a little time out.
With love and peace,
