Standing On God’s Word
As Believers in Christ, we will have days that are good. Then other days where we are not sure of our identity in Christ. We will quote scripture such as “I am the righteousness of God in Christ.” But then we feel like we are not sure. We may even ask ourselves such questions “Am I really saved? Is this all real?” Then we have days where we are ready to conquer the world. We accept who God says we are. But then the days appear, where we wonder if we are disillusioned. And we are ready to throw the towel in. And in our mind, we feel that our identity and faith seem so abstract. Yes, these things are going on in the life of Believers in Christ.
I want to encourage you reading this blog that what you are experiencing, all believers experience and are yet experiencing. When we are experiencing such thoughts, we can only depend of The Word of God. We have to agree with The Word of God. When Jesus was in the wildness for 40 days and 40 nights, the devil attacked Him at His lowest point. All Jesus had was The Word of God, which He used against the acts and voice of the devil. Jesus actually had no fight in Him. He was worn out physically. Yet He used The Word of God to defeat the devil. At the end of the temptation, the Bible says that the devil left Him for a season. Meaning that the devil was going to come back. The Bible also says that the enemy will exhaust the Saints in the last and evil days. Therefore, all we have, is to stand on The Word of God.
I want you reading this blog to know that you have done all that you can do in the physical and spiritual. You have believed on The Lord Jesus and accepted Him as your Lord and Savior. Your sins are forgiven. Your name is written in The Book of Life. And you are now The Righteous of God because of what Jesus did on The Cross. You are in RIGHT standing with The Father. Your identity in Christ is solid. You are not disillusioned. Your body (spiritually and physically) is tired. And this is the perfect place for you to be. Why? Because now you have only The Word to stand on. It has nothing to do with feelings, nor emotions. It has to do with belief, hope, trust and faith. Especially trusting God unconditionally and His Word the same.
If you throw in the towels, where would you go? The devil will not accept you back whole heartily. If he did, he would try to kill you physically because of the fear that you would return to Christ. I want you to know that Jesus has you in the palm of His hand. No demon, no devil, no circumstance, no situation, nor sickness can ever take you out of His hand. KNOW THAT.
I know that Christ lives in you. I know you are a chosen one to do great things for His Kingdom before He returns. Saint Paul speaks about what shall separate him from the love of Christ. He goes on to list various situations and circumstances. And at the end of his saying, he says nothing, not one thing will ever separate him from the love of Christ. Paul was actually relying on The Word of God in this statement for sure. He could not go by feelings, emotions, nor circumstances in his life. From a natural stand point, he went through divers (numerious) situations on a regular or daily basis that could have destroyed his faith, trust, belief and hope in Christ. But he had The Word of God to reply on when there was nothing else left.
You reading this blog are in a good place. Why? Because you are in the mist of fiery trials. And Jesus has seen the end from the beginning of your life. You are more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus. I hope this ministers to your soul. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
With love and peace,
